The Eureka Hypothesis / Controlling Contamination
This project is about calling into question the verifiability of scientific research and the highly regulated space of the lab interior. Numerous scientific discoveries, from tyvek to kevlar, occur due to lab mishaps. Through the controlled contamination of laboratory work, the design seeks to capture the waste products of experimental research. Gaseous waste is filtered and trapped in a cloud. Liquid waste flows down into a grotto. Both these spaces are inhabitable and host for the ability to observe the mixing of contaminants.
